The New York State Legislature and the Executive provided an appropriation of $14 million in capital funds for State Aid for Library Construction in the 2020-2021 State Budget. Libraries could apply for a construction allocation that could fund up to 75 percent of a project. State Aid for Library Construction supported 135 construction projects in public libraries and public library systems throughout New York State.
Aid provided funding for: Furnace replaced with new high efficient furnace, installation of 2 dust free active air purifier and replacement of interior inefficient lighting fixtures.
