Family Night: A Night with the Martz-Kohl Observatory

April 3 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

A Night with the Martz-Kohl Observatory

Thursday, April 3rd  6:00 to 8:00 pm

Explore the sky with our NEW Telescope.

Create a planisphere & check out our space activities.

At 7 pm, we will head outside to observe the moon & planet Jupiter.

Free and open to the public.

The Observatory has placed telescopes in local public libraries, allowing general access to portable telescopes that can be put into circulation just like a book! The goals of the program are to help foster scientific literacy, to stimulate interest in astronomy, to enable people who have never looked through a telescope the chance to experience the excitement that comes from discovery, and to provide a valuable asset for libraries.

Marshal Martz Memorial Astronomical Association, Inc. donated this telescope to our library.

This event will be rescheduled is rain is expected. Program is for school aged children to adults.

Telescope can be borrowed using a current library card. Telescope Agreement Must Be Completed Prior to Checkout.

Thank You to the Martz-Kohl Observatory for enriching our community with such a magnificent gift!
