Review of Prehistoric Signal and Burial Mounds in Chautauqua County
with Tom Jordan, PhD, PG & Historian Paul Sheeler
Dr. Tom Jordan and Historian, Paul Sheeler, will present information on prehistoric earth works in Chautauqua County and background information on the ancient burial mounds that were once located near Sinclairville and Gerry.
Dr. Tom Jordan and Paul Sheeler will share information about the pre-historic earth works found at Van Buren Point and on the Lake Erie shoreline near Ripley.
Dr. Tom Jordan is a Researcher and Part-Time Faculty GIS Map Tech Specialist and Youngstown State University, Youngstown Ohio.
Historian Paul Sheeler is the past Board of Directors President for the Historical Society of Dunkirk and former resident of Chautauqua County.
The GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) that Dr. Jordan uses will also be on site.
