with Brenda Nickerson

Flower pounding, also known as tataki-zomé or “plant bashing”, is a craft that uses a hammer to transfer a flower’s natural pigment onto paper or fabric to create a print.

Participants will learn which flowers and/or leaves work well and how hard to pound to get the desired results.

Cost is $10 a person. Limited seating. Call (716.962.5885) or click to register.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LIBRARY WILL BE VERY LOUD DURING THIS CLASS*

We will also be offering a class in July & August.

Program partially funded by Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System Summer Reading 2024 Mini-Grant.
